Australia midfielder Tim Cahill who was has been sidelined with a knee injury admitted he is struggling to be fit for Australia’ opening World Cup game against Japan in Germany next month, but still hopes to play. He is set to miss Australia’s friendly against European champions Greece in Melbourne next week.

It will be a big blow for the Socceroos if their playmaker and most influental player couldn’t play a big role in this tournament. With Brazil and Croatia the other rivals in the group, the Australians must fancy their chance against Japan, considered the weakest in the group.
